Mana Contemporary/ESKFF New Jersey, NJ
2x2: The Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation Benefit is a fundraiser where artists help other artists.
In the wake of Sandy, many artists lost irreplaceable artwork and suffered property damage when flood waters overcame galleries and studios in neighborhoods such as Chelsea, Greenpoint, Hoboken, and Red Hook.
Mana Contemporary, ESKFF and several curators from the Tri-State area have come together in an effort to raise funds and support those artists who experienced these devastating losses. They reached out and over 70 artists have responded by donating an original work in a single size – 2’ x 2’ – to be sold at the benefit and online.
Piet van den Boog made an donated a piece "Koi Carps", acrylic, oil, rust, azurite and malachite on oxidized lead mounted on wood - 24 x 24 inches
The proceeds will help to start recovery from the damage wrought by Sandy.
